Camp reviews

My eldest daughter, a high school senior, is an artist, and I wanted to find her additional art classes beyond what she was getting in high school. She's worked with Maria and Svetlana for the past several years, in camps and classes including live figure study, live portraiture, animation and advanced portfolio prep.
The teaching and guidance at the Art School of SF Bay has been exceptional. And better and better, my daughter has been accepted to top-ranked animation programs including CalArts, Ringling College of Art and Design, RISD and more. I cannot than Maria and Svetlana enough.

My teenage daughter just completed a week of charcoal art camp in San Jose. She loved the camp and couldn't wait to show us her projects each day. Sara and Sarah were both incredible teachers. My child learned so many techniques and honestly I was amazed at the quality of her artwork. She wants me to have them framed so she can display them in our home!

My rising 3rd Grader started off his first week of Summer with Art School of SF and loved it. He loves drawing and learning different techniques so this was a great fit for him. They worked on an art box all week, one step at a time until it became a masterpiece. They worked so hard with their creativity and we got several pieces at the end of camp that we proudly put up in our home. It was also a warm and safe environment with friendly instructors, a gem in our Inner Sunset neighborhood.

My young son has taken classes in Mountain View with Masha and now a week of camp in San Jose with Maria and Marina. Every class he learns something. In the camp they were indoors for 6+ hours and he was never bored. The teachers played games and kept it fun, while guiding the students. My kid even skipped lunch one day he was so engaged in his project.

My daughter is 7 years old, and has taken illustration camp with teacher Anna in mountain view studio. The studio is really nice, and she enjoyed the full-day camp. She really likes teacher Anna, who is very knowledgable, enthusiastic about teaching. Like a friend, Anna is very patient to my girl who is a perfectionist, and offered constructive feedbacks on her drawing. We definitely will come back for more camps and weekly class.

My daughter is taking art classes and has been attending summer camp at the Mountain View location, and she loves it! Her favorite class is Stop Motion Animation. It's a small class where kids get a lot of personal attention, which helps with developing creativity and imagination, while having fun. Im very impressed with the animation clips that the kids have created in this class. My daughter is excited about going to this class, and is looking forward to each new project.

My child attended two summer camps this past summer--the junior fan art camp and the Minecraft+design camp. Both were really fun and engaging! My child was excited to go every day! The teachers were very professional, patient, great with kids, and encouraging. Such a gem for kids to learn about art and most importantly, to enjoy it. I ended up signing my child for a regular art class here.

My daughter loves loves loves the manga summer camp. The teacher is extremely young but very talented. My daughter just adores her. This is my daughter's first manga experience and she learned the basics, including anatomy, proportion, various styles, tools, materials, etc. Every day she came home with a fantastic picture.

My 12 year old enjoyed Graffiti Art Camp here very much! He brought home many pieces of artwork each day and his skills definitely improved with so much practice. He said the instructor was great and he wants to sign up for another camp week next year.
