David Mar is a renown artist with over 20 years of teaching experience at schools like San Francisco
Academy of Art University, Mount Ida College, Lasell College, as well as many years at Disney studios where he worked as animator on such movies as Mulan, The Emperor’s New Groove, Tarzan, Beauty and the Beast etc.
David’s unique skillset includes traditional painting and drawing, animation, design, 3D modeling, photography and illustration.
David is a recipient of many awards and the Constantin Alajalov Scholarship.

My two boys and I have been going to the Art School of SF Bay for about two years now, and we’ve truly enjoyed the experience. The classes have helped me drastically improve both my art skills and my ability to draw from imagination. I especially loved the Sketchbook Club class taught by David Mar. He is a wealth of knowledge, and the course is wonderfully structured — starting with drawing everyday objects and compositions, and gradually building toward drawing from imagination.
