Vika Haimov is an illustrator, doodler, and cartoon enthusiast living in California's Bay Area. She has joined Art School of SF Bay in 2019 and has been teaching all kinds of camps and classes since then. She graduated University of Silicon Valley (formerly Cogswell Polytechnical College) in 2018 for 3D Animation, and has experience in traditional mediums including sketching and painting (Acrylics, Watercolors, etc) as well as digital mediums (Photoshop, Paint Tool SAI, Autodesk Maya).

As a teacher, Vika takes pride in fostering a comfortable environment for all audiences. It's her personal philosophy that while art (like any skill!) requires patience and practice, the process should be enjoyable, too. So long as students come away from the class having fun AND learned something new, the job's been done right.

Vika is the author of Sketching for Kids and the Graphic Novels & Manga curriculums.

I loved being in teacher Vika's manga class! It helped me be more confident in my own art, as well as learn valuable new techniques and grow as an artist. At home and at art class I now feel like I know how to draw the poses and expressions that I picture in my head. Art School of SF Bay is full of wonderful teachers and courses.

My 8-yr old daughter has been taking classes here for the last two months and its incredible. She enjoys the mix of media and her drawing, painting and understanding of art has increased tremendously. Vika uses real art vocabulary and the lessons and creations are wonderful. I highly recommend this small, but brilliant local art school.

This is according to my son , 11 yo : It was a really fun week . We get to do different project ( animation) daily . At first it was a bit hard to remember all the terms and I had to be patient with my self, and kept asking questions to the teachers . Vika and Katherine are great teachers and super patient with me.
