What do terms like Graffiti and Street Art mean, and how can we participate in these art forms in ethical ways? This is the question students will be asked as they are immersed in the rich history and culture of graffiti and street art, while learning sketching, letter design, and the process of creating their very own mural.

This camp will teach you:

  • Basics of typography

  • Font design

  • Color theory

  • Expressive silhouette

  • Character design

  • Stylization for stencilling

  • Stecilling

Day 1

12:30 pm - 3:30 pm: Bubble + Block Letters


Day 2 

9 am -  12:00 pm: Design your own Alphabet
12:30 pm - 3:30 pm: Stenciling


Day 3 

9 am -  12:00 pm: 3D Lettering
12:30 pm - 3:30 pm: Illustrated Words


Day 4 

9 am -  12:00 pm: Street Art Character Design
12:30 pm - 3:30 pm:  Sketching for Final Mural/Artwork

We are not offering refunds for new purchases. However, full credit towards future bookings or transfer to another camp/class will be offered for any cancellations made up to 24 hrs before the camp or class start.

Frequently asked questions about our camps

What is the teacher-student ratio? The teacher-student ratio is 6 to 1 in the camps for 6-10 year olds, and 7 to 1 in camps for 10-18 year olds. What do students do during art camp? Students explore a variety of creative projects such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed-media work. Camps focus on building art fundamentals while encouraging creativity and experimentation. My child is 1 year younger than the camp age listed. Can she participate in the camp? In some cases, students who are one year younger than the listed age range may attend if they are especially interested in art and able to comfortably participate in the activities. Please contact us to discuss whether the camp would be a good fit. Do you provide before and after class/camp care? At this time, we do not provide extended care before or after camps. Due to limited space, students should arrive and be picked up according to the camp schedule. Do students need previous art experience? No prior experience is required. Our camps are designed for both beginners and students with some art background, and instructors guide students step by step through each project. Where are your art camps located? Our art camps take place at our Bay Area studios in San Francisco, San Jose, Mountain View, San Rafael, and Walnut Creek. Each location offers small-group instruction and a supportive studio environment. Do you provide extended care? No, we do not provide extended care.
