Detailed Schedule

Day 1:

  • 9am-12pm: Winter landscapes: painting light and shadow on the snow, reflected colors of the sky. Winter trees: painting thick and thin branches and snow on them.

  • 12:30-3:30pm: Decorating a glass candle holder. Stained glass paint.

Day 2:

  • 9am-12pm Animals in Winter: what they do to get through the cold winter months. Painting an animal. Acrylics.

  • 12:30-3:30pm: Making Winter Holidays cards. (pencil, markers, watercolor, ink)


Day 3:

  • 9am-12pm and 12:30-3:30pm: Sculpting Christmas or Winter-inspired figurines. (air dry clay/ polymer clay. Decorating sculpted ornaments with acrylic paints.)

Refund policy:

We are not offering refunds for new purchases. However, full credit towards future bookings or transfer to another camp/class will be offered for any cancellations made up to 24 hrs before the camp or class start.

Monumental winter landscapes, energetic winter sports, traditional winter celebrations - this camp is all about winter! Students will bring home several winter-related paintings and master oil/acrylic painting skills.

This camp will teach you:

Painting a landscape (acrylics):

  • mixing a desired color, 

  • understanding areal and linear perspective, 

  • brushwork,

  • final touches.

Sketching Animals (pastels):

  • animal anatomy

  • representing fur texture

Drawing people:

  • human anatomy and proportions - figure and face

  • drawing clothes

  • gesture drawing

Working with watercolor, acrylics, pastels, and emanel paint.



Frequently asked questions about this camp

What is the teacher-student ratio? The teacher-student ratio is 6 to 1 in the camps for 6-10 year olds, and 7 to 1 in camps for 10-18 year olds. My child is 1 year younger than the camp age listed. Can she participate in the camp? Student 1 year younger than the camp age listed can attend the camp if the child is really into art in general and the camp topic in particular. Do you provide before and after class/camp care? Our school does not provide extended child care before and after classes. Due to limited space, please bring the kids only for specific time frame according to the class schedule you are registered for. Do you provide extended care? No, we do not provide extended care.
