Last spring, our Advanced Teen Class student Lukas started working on the CCS Transportation Design Detroit program Summer School application. To be among 20 finalists, he had to take one of the popular mid-century America cars and imagine how it will look in 2050 (keeping the brand recognizable).

He got into the program, and spent a summer in Detroit. I was absolutely amazed by the idea, and offered other Advanced Teen Class students a futuristic design exercise: take one of the existent objects and imagine how it will change in a hundred years.
