Portrait of the Bay 
Bay Lands Nature Preserve, Palo Alto

We watch birds - and sketch them, turning sketches into decorative paintings; climb trees - and draw them and their imaginary faces; enjoy fresh air and paint minimalistic landscapes of our beloved Bay. We try different artistic media every day. And have so! much! fun! Join us!
 
Day 1. Learning to paint a simple landscape from scratch to final touches. Pastels.
Day 2. Sketches of birds. Birds anatomy. Decorative painting of birds. Acrylic.
Day 3. Water: ripples and reflections. Introduction to classical watercolor.
Day 4. Study of herbs. Drawing a field. Charcoal / pencil.
Day 5. Landscape with people, media of a choice.

Bring your own lunch and snacks.
High-quality art materials provided. 
​Please make sure that your child has a sun hat and wind coat.
