Kids 4-7 yrs old

Drawing a robot? A mermaid? A scene from Minecraft? Yes, we’ll help our students draw whatever they want, and just the way they want it! All the skills necessary for successful self-expression can be taught at this early age. We wrap technical challenge into exciting creative tasks, and kids learn a lot while just having lots of fun! This curriculum combines various exciting hands-on activities with a kids-friendly introduction to different art styles and epochs.

For kids 8-12 yrs old: This course is teaching all important art fundamentals and all common art materials to kids of various levels. If your child wants to draw, paint and sculpt realistically from real life and imagination, it is the right choice.

For kids 8-12 yrs old: Dive into the comic world with our (Traditional or Digital) Sketching class! Designed for kids who want to draw characters from their favorite games, movies and books.

Art of XX Century

For kids 8-12 yrs old, that have mastered art fundamentals and are ready to work on complex multi-figured compositions. At this course, we focus on various methods of delivery of artistic message, such as visual language, style, composition, and understanding the context.

Manga Drawing Club

Manga Drawing Club

For kids/teens 10-16 yrs old: If you find yourself doodling characters and comics on your off time, and if you like visual novels and animated series, this is the place for you! Join in on a cozy group-oriented setting with themed design challenges and an interactive environment. The class consists of a basic overview lecture of various topics - composition, color choice, panelling & storytelling, and anatomy practice - as well as additional one-on-one tips.

For teens: We help our students prepare competitive art portfolios for various artistic institutions and competitions. Studies include design, illustration, animation, portrait and human figure drawing, painting and sculpting, etc. We respect each artistic individuality and support the choices our students make.

Adult Art Course

Adult Art Course

For adults: At Art School of SF Bay we are rethinking traditional adult art education in order to make our courses highly effective and approachable for busy professionals. Even a complete beginner by the end of this course will be able to paint a portrait and create a composition with one or several human figures. Recommended for beginners to advance their abilities as well as for art enthusiasts to refresh their skills.

For teens & adults: Pastels can be so much more than simple crayons and quick sketches! Since 16 century it was used by many great artists to create unique paintings. In this course, we will study not only different techniques but also talk about composition and color theory, to master your painting skills.

For teens & adults: This workshop covers everything you need to know about watercolor to use it fluently in your projects: how to mix colors, use washes, work from light to dark, use reserve and additives, and even such advanced technique as watercolor underpainting.

Figure Drawing

For teens & adults: Get your figure drawing skills moved to the next level with our Figure Drawing workshop! We’ll focus on the most complicated part - live model drawing. Human proportions, anatomy overview, detailed studies of the head, hands, feet, short and long sketching sessions, and a final well-rendered drawing.
