Changes due COVID-19:

This in-studio camp has been changed in compliance with the latest Health Order of Santa Clara County.


- The camp will be limited to 12 students only, in a stable group setting with no mixing between the groups. 

- Sitting in the studio is rearrange to assure adequate distance between the students.

- Teachers and kids 7 years and older are required to wear face covering. 

- Face shields will be provided for younger kids.

- Studio is cleaned throughout regularly, with daily disinfection of active use areas (tables, door knobs, sinks, etc) and shared art materials (if possible). Some art materials are provided for individual use (pencil/eraser/clip boards).

- Air purifier with filters is used in the studio during the camp.

- No students with cold-like symptoms are allowed to participate. Please stay home if feeling sick.

- Students will not be allowed to go out of the studio to buy lunch. Please bring snack and lunch with you.

- Parents drop off and pick up students outside of the studio.

Camp Description: 

Week 1: World of Illustration July 6-10, 2020

This camp is dedicated to everything you need to know about drawing: sketching, shading, perspective, anatomy of humans and animals. Learn to draw everything you wish freely from your imagination!

Week 2: All About Painting  July 13-17, 2020

This camp is dedicated to various aspects of painting with the most popular painting media: acrylics or oils (students can choose), plus an intro on watercolor. By the end of this camp students will learn to asses the desired color by mixing, correctly represent lighting, texture and proportions of objects, strengthen their knowledge of color theory and human anatomy, and bring home a complicated still life (morning students), a creative self portrait (noon students) or both (full day students). 

Week 3: Fan Art July 20-24, 2020

Bring your favourite book/movie or video game and spend a day creating cool fan art in a company of fans like you! Each camper will be working on his/her own artwork while teachers will provide any help you or your artwork need.

Bring your own lunch and snacks.

Refund Policy:

We are not offering refunds for new purchases. However, full credit towards future bookings or transfer to another camp/class will be offered for any cancellations made up to 24 hrs before the camp or class start. 

If camp or class is cancelled due to gathering restrictions or shelter in place order placed by state or county authorities, similar online camp/class will be held instead. Students can cancel their registration if online learning does not work for them, with the full credit towards future in person camp/class.

Detailed schedule:
World of Illustration :
Day 1:

9am-12pm: Medieval World: knights. Lecture on medieval history. Learning to draw proportional people in motion.

12:30-3:30pm: Medieval World: dragons. Lecture on animal anatomy. Learning to draw real and imaginary  in various postures. Sculpting a dragon.

Day 2: 

Sci fi (robots and spaceships).

9am-12pm: Designing a space ship/a robot using materials found in studio as source of inspiration.

12:30-3:30pm - Making a poster for a Sci-Fi book or movie.

Day 3:

Superheroes (and villains).

9am-12pm: Drawing muscles! Learning to draw an anatomically correct human figure.

12:30-3:30pm: Representing various emotions on a character's face.

Day 4:

9am-12pm: Horror:monsters! Designing a monster.

12:30-3:30pm: Scary forests & castles. Lecture on linear and arial perspective, and how to coordinate the mood of a character and a landscape. Painting a location with a small figure.

Day 5:

Fairytale or Aesop's fable (animal characters and landscapes). Making an illustration.

All About Painting

Day 1.

9:00am-12:00pm. Intro to color theory: primary and secondary colors, opposite / complimentary colors, color temperature, tints and shades. Obtaining a desired color by mixing. Compositional sketches of a large still life. Beginning underdrawing on a large canvas.

12:30pm-3:30pm.   Intro to human anatomy. Intro to color theory (for students that join at noon). Compositional sketches for creative self portrait. Beginning underdrawing on a large canvas.

Day 2.

9:00am-12:00pm. Intro on pre- and post- impressionist styles of still life painting.  Finalizing underdrawing and starting painting a still life.

12:30pm-3:30pm. Intro on pre- and post- impressionist styles of portrait painting. Finalizing underdrawing and starting painting a portrait.

Day 3.

9:00am-12:00pm. Detailed shading of still life objects,  loose painting of background and folds.

12:30pm-3:30pm.  Detailed shading of facial features, loose painting of background and hair.

Day 4.

9:00am-12:00pm. Finalizing a still life. Intro on watercolor technique. Starting a final project of a choice.

12:30pm-3:30pm. Finalizing a portrait. Intro on watercolor technique (for students that join at noon). Starting a final project of a choice.

Day 5.

9:00am-12:00pm & 12:30pm-3:30pm. Final project of a choice.

Fan Art

Day 1:

A Book Fair. Bring your favorite book and draw your favorite characters. From Little Prince to Harry Potter, from Alice in Wonderland to The Maze Runner - share what you like and find out what others are reading.


Day 2:

Comic Con: If you like comic books, this day is definitely for you. Please, no fights between Marvel and DC fans! We can cover them all. We will draw our favorite superheroes and villains, follow their journey from the comic book to the TV and the big screen. With so many choices one day will hardly be enough!


Day 3:

Movie Night Day: Tell us about your favorite movie, there will definitely be someone who shares your interest. Star Wars, the Matrix, Avatar, Terminator… shall we add Jurassic Park as well? We'll discuss movies while busy drawing the scenes from our favorite ones.


Day 4:

It's a TV shows day! Doctor Who, Star Trek, Stranger Things, The Big Bang Theory, Sherlock - you name it. So many characters, so little time.


Day 5:

The World of Animation: Characters from our favorite animated films will be our focus today and for the bravest students we will have a challenge of creating their own characters!
