LIVE MODEL DRAWING/ PAINTING

*Basic knowledge of shading and sketching is required for drawing, and ability to achieve the desired color and render using a selected painting medium is required for painting.

 

Get your figure drawing and painting skills moved to the next level with our Figure Drawing / Painting workshop!

 

Human proportions, anatomy overview, detailed studies of the head, hands, feet, short and long sketching sessions, and a final well-rendered drawing or painting.

High-quality art materials and live model provided. Model fee is included in workshop price.

Refund Policy:

We are not offering refunds for new purchases. However, full credit towards future bookings or transfer to another camp/class will be offered for any cancellations made up to 24 hrs before the camp or class start. 

If camp or class is cancelled due to gathering restrictions or shelter in place order placed by state or county authorities, similar online camp/class will be held instead. Students can cancel their registration if online learning does not work for them, with the full credit towards future in person camp/class.

Day1

Human proportions and anatomy overview. Short sketches of an echorche. Detailed short drawings of the head, hands, and feet. 

Day 2
45-min long studies of standing, sitting, reclining poses.

 

Day 2

Starting a final drawing of an undressed model (in a swimsuit). Assessing composition, proportions, perspective of the drawing.  White and gray pencils on toned paper or black and white underpainting on a toned primed canvas.

 

Day 4 Continuation of the drawing / painting. Setting up the values, starting from the shadows. For painting: setting up the color temperature for highlights, lights, halftones, and shadows.
 
Day 5

Finalizing the drawing / painting. Adding accents and details.
