online art camp for kids 6-10 years old
This camp will be held ONLINE via ZOOM video conference. Students will need access to a computer / tablet / phone with internet connection and zoom.us. Art materials will be available for pick up from the studio few days before the start of the camp (dates and details will be provided).
In the Dinosaur Art Camp students will dive deeper into learning about these astounding prehistoric creatures! We will learn to draw, sculpt and even make stamps of dinosaurs and also learn to paint prehistoric landscapes. Students will work with clay, watercolors, and mixed media to make various art projects.
We are not offering refunds for new purchases. However, full credit towards future bookings or transfer to another camp/class will be offered for any cancellations made up to 24 hrs before the camp or class start.
If camp or class is cancelled due to gathering restrictions or shelter in place order placed by state or county authorities, similar online camp/class will be held instead. Students can cancel their registration if online learning does not work for them, with the full credit towards future in person camp/class.
9:00am-12:00pm: Intro to different dinosaurs. Kids draw and color their favorite one.
12:30-3:30pm: Where the Dinosaurs lived. Kids draw a background or a painting of the Jurassic environment.
9am-12pm: Sculpting a Dinosaur.
12:30-3:30pm: Kids learn about dinosaur skeletons and create a fossil ornament out of clay.
9:00am-12:00pm and 12:30-3:30pm: Cartoon vs Realistic dinosaurs: kids create a dinosaur comic strip.
9:00am-12:00pm: Unusual Dinosaurs: learn to draw and paint a pterodactyl in the sky.
12:30-3:30pm: Kids make dinosaur Stamps using transfer techniques and crayons.
9:00am-12:00pm: Final Dinosaur project: Invent your own dinosaur. Kids use what they learned in the previous lessons to create their own clay dinosaur and paint a 3-panel background for it using acrylics. Or they can choose their own project based around dinosaurs.
12:30-3:30pm: Final Dinosaur project: kids choose what they want to make that is dinosaur themed.
