- Sitting in the studio is rearranged to assure 3 feet distance between the students.
- Teachers and kids are required to wear a face covering.
- Studio is cleaned throughout regularly, with daily disinfection of active use areas (tables, doorknobs, sinks, etc) and shared art materials (if possible). Some art materials are provided for individual use (pencil/eraser/clipboards).
- Air purifier with filters is used in the studio during the camp.
- No students with cold-like symptoms are allowed to participate. Please stay home if feeling sick.
- Parents drop off and pick up students outside of the studio.
Camp Description:
Spring! Students will create from scratch unique compositions in watercolor, acrylics, collage, and mixed media techniques, learn about various spring traditions from around the world, and master traditional spring crafts.
Bring your own lunch and snacks.
High-quality art materials provided.

Refund Policy:
We are not offering refunds for new purchases. However, full credit towards future bookings or transfer to another camp/class will be offered for any cancellations made up to 24 hrs before the camp or class starts.
If camp or class is canceled due to gathering restrictions or shelter in place order placed by state or county authorities, a similar online camp/class will be held instead. Students can cancel their registration if online learning does not work for them, with full credit towards future in-person camp/class.

Detailed schedule:
Day 1:
9:00am-12:00pm: Paining the emblem of spring, flowers, from nature! Learning to sketch them from nature, see and represent individuality of each flower. Acrylic on canvas.
12:30-3:30pm: Making paper flowers!
Day 2:
9:00am-12:00pm: Painting water using water media! Rain, springs, creeks, and flooded spring rivers will be represented in the most appropriate art material: watercolor! Students will master dos and don'ts of this capricious media.
12:30-3:30pm: Greeting cards: we will create collages and prints inspired by Sakura branches, and other spring-related motives from Asian woodblocks and silk paintings.
Day 3:
9am-12pm: Traditional Spring Crafts: decorating wooden eggs, Kokeshi dolls, Russian dolls, or a Mardi Gras mask!
12:30-3:30pm: making a sculpture of a bird and hatching baby birds. Recycling materials, felt.
Day 4:
9:00am-12:00pm and 12:30-3:30pm: Spring landscapes from all around the world! Selecting and painting a spring scene from a place especially dear to your heart. Full day students work on two paintings or on a large painting with plenty of detail.
Day 5:
9:00am-12:00pm and 12:30-3:30pm:
Spring Equinox celebrations from around the world! Maslenitsa in Russia; Equinox ceremony at Teotihuacán; Passover and Easter, Holi and Water Festival! Choose you favorite and paint a scene from it!
